Disney World -- Epcot

Of course, we went to Epcot. I enjoy Epcot and walking around the countries. Amy, on the other hand, would rather be at any of the other parks. :)

 

Here is the best picture I could get in front of the giant ball. Caden wouldn't look at me and Caroline insisted on making hand binoculars.

We went to a really cool show called "Turtle Talk with Crush." Both the kids and adults loved it.

After the show, we walked around the aquarium and played in the giant pretend shark.

 We ate at a restaurant that had a great view of the aquarium. They had a lot of delicious fish options.

When dinner was over, we went back to the hotel.

After getting everyone settled and in bed, I decided to head back to Epcot by myself to watch some fireworks and ride Soarin' (one of the coolest rides at Disney). The line for Soarin' was 120 minutes while we were there. During the magic hours following the firework show, I was able to get on in about 5 minutes.

I also took a few random night pictures.

Disney World -- Animal Kingdom

Here are some of our pictures from our day at the Animal Kingdom.

Everyone enjoyed the African safari. We saw a ton of animals.

Caden and Caroline climbed some rocks while the adults took turns riding a roller coaster.

 

 The kids thought the giant tree was cool and loved hugging for the camera.

The kids enjoyed the Lion King show. They especially liked when the cast sang one of their favorite songs--Hakuna Matata.

When we came out of the Lion King, a plane was writing this in the sky. We thought it was cool.

The last thing we did at the Animal Kingdom was watch their Christmas parade.

 

 

We left the Animal Kingdom and headed to the restaurant Ohana for one of the best meals of the trip. Ohana is one of those places where people walk around with skewers of meat giving you as much as you want.

 

Ohana provided two tables for our group. We decided to have a kids table and a grownup table. The kids might have been a little loud at times but they had a lot of fun.

Disney World -- Magic Kingdom

This Christmas, we went to Disney World with Amy's parents and her brother's family. This was our kids first trip to Disney. We had a great time and did tons of fun stuff. It was fun seeing the parks all decked out for Christmas.

 

Here is us hanging out in the Magic Kingdom. 

We spent most of our time in the new Fantasy Land. It was a really cool area of the park great for the younger kids.

 Caden and Caroline loved the Dumbo ride. We rode it at least five times.

 

There was also a great little roller coaster perfect for Caden and Caroline. We rode this numerous times during our trip.

There were tons of shows in front of the castle. It seemed like every time we walked by, there was a new one going on.

Our kids favorite ride was probably the cars they could drive. The got to sit behind the steering wheel and do all the steering while the passenger was just along for the bumpy ride.

 Of course we had to ride the teacups.

Caroline had this smile on her face almost the entire time we were at Disney. I think she enjoyed Disney more than anyone else.

 

The kids never stayed up late enough for one of the big firework shows but they did get to see the "Electrical Parade."

We had a ton of fun in the Magic Kingdom. We rode a ton of rides and saw all sorts of good stuff. The Magic Kingdom was definitely our favorite of the parks.

Christmas Card 2012

Merry Christmas! Here is our Christmas card from 2012.

Brushy Creek Park

We decided to go take some pictures at Brushy Creek Park. Caden was quite the model this day. He loved posing and smiling. Caroline was not so enthusiastic but we still got some good ones. Here are some of our favorites.

 

 

Caroline was a little cold and would not put her arms down. After about twenty pictures with her hands at her chin, Amy said, "Caroline, if you put your arms down and smile, I'll give you a princess jump rope." Caroline's arms immediately dropped to her side and she started smiling. We quickly snapped several pictures of a smiling Caroline.

 

  

 

 

After the photo shoot, we went to play in the park. Caroline wanted to swing on my lap.

It is harder to swing safely holding a toddler than you might think.

We love Brushy Creek Park and will be back soon for another photo shoot.
