On our second anniversary, Amy had another doctor appointment to look at the two little raspberries. (Amy told me she read the babies would be about the size of raspberries at this time. That is way bigger than the half centimeter they were less than a week earlier.) It was going to be hard for me to take off work so Amy invited her mom, Abbie, who still recovering from a very successful surgery the day before to remove her breast cancer. Amy was not sure Abbie would be up for it, but sure enough, she was ready to go and showed up to the doctor, as Amy said, “dressed to the nine.” You would have never known she had undergone surgery the day before. I guess the chance to see (and hear) the two little miracles were too much to pass up.
Even though it was our second anniversary, we didn’t have any big plans. We host a Bible study on Wednesday nights and had people coming over to our house for that. Our small group (who does not yet know we are pregnant), surprised us with a cookie cake, some cut fruit, and a nice little card.
Here is a picture of Amy and I two years ago today. Isn't that a happy couple?
